Irish Festival!

So last Friday, Matt, James and I went to the North Texas Irish Festival! It was a lot of fun. As usual we are on a tight budget, so we chose to haul butt up there Friday night after I pulled a 10 hr day at work .....but it was a lot of fun! We went then, because we not only got in for free, but didnt have to pay for parking. Matt and James got some really cool copper disks, made into a coin and a pendant. I didnt realize that the video could not be turned, so you have to watch this sideways but its worth the wait cause you get to see the cool coin at the end. Matt found that if you turn your head sideways, you can follow the clip a bit better..... ENJOY!

New Years Party!

Dallas Arbretum

Here's a few cute pictures of us at the Dallas Arboretum with the kids

Hannukah

I celebrated Hanukkah as a child and wanted to recreate it again this year with our family all together. It was great lighting the candles every night! Matt and I put together a Hanukkah Party along with Latkes and Chicken soup and traditional apple dumplings that were like miniature apple pies. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time learning about the miracle of Hanukkah, its significance to our lives, and best of all, getting a present each night for eight days.
It was a lot of fun!

It works out perfect that my friend is Jewish and her in laws were in town so we were able to light the candles on Christmas day at her home as well. Here are some pictures of the kids playing the game with the Dridel.
